Demonstrations and practical exercises to introduce the main types of freshwater phytoplankton and their identification


Learning outcomes

After completing this course, the student should be able to…..

  • know how to collect phytoplankton samples and how to prepare them for sample analysis. She/he knows the identification and counting techniques, recognizes the higher phytoplankton taxa and is capable of species identification 

Additional information

Maximum of 12 students. Main subject and stage of the studies are used as selection criteria.
